How liquid screed is different
Traditional screed is mixed semi-dry, barrowed in, then spread and compacted by hand. Liquid screed is pumped into the building through a hose and flows across the floor, finding its own level as it goes. That brings some clear advantages:
- A level finish. The screed flows to level across the whole floor rather than being worked to it by hand.
- Speed. Large areas can be poured in a single visit.
- Full contact. Because it is liquid, it fills the floor completely, with no voids left around pipes or in corners.
Where it is used
Liquid screed is ideal for new builds, extensions and renovations, underfloor heating, domestic and commercial projects, and uneven floors that need a level finish.
