Why liquid screed suits new builds
- It fits the programme. Whole floors are poured in a single visit, so the screed does not hold the site up.
- It suits underfloor heating. A new home with underfloor heating needs a screed that surrounds the pipes fully, and a liquid screed does that as it flows.
- It gives following trades a level floor. Tilers, floor layers and kitchen fitters all benefit from a floor that is flat and level from wall to wall.
Planning the pour
The screed comes after the building is weathertight and the floor build-up is in: insulation, membrane, perimeter edging and any underfloor heating pipes. Get in touch early and we can agree a date that fits around your other trades.
